Maribeth is a qualified dyslexia specialist, committed to helping children with dyslexia thrive. She is a registered member of the International Dyslexia Association and is Orton Gillingham trained. With over two decades of classroom experience in private schools in New York City and Portugal, Maribeth is dedicated to the success and empowerment of her students. She has witnessed the incredible difference that reading success can make for a child’s self-confidence and happiness and is passionate in helping students “crack the code” and become proficient readers.

Often when children struggle with reading they become frustrated and lose confidence in themselves. Maribeth creates a warm and encouraging environment helping students feel comfortable, motivating them to take risks, make mistakes and grow into strong readers.

Maribeth is trained in the Orton-Gillingham method, the world’s first teaching approach specifically designed to help struggling readers with dyslexia. Maribeth enjoys creating a multi-sensory learning experience that is highly effective for teaching students with dyslexia.
